Sorry to hear Jackie. If you've ever considered going manual and can afford some downtime while you source parts, here's you chance.

If you stick with an auto, make sure you get the tranny and labour warrantied. As 2wicked suggested, slap on a tranny cooler while your at it. http://store.summitracing.com/partde...rt=BMM%2D70268

Keep us updated.

Sorry to hear about your tranny.

Auto trannies are evil. My buddie learned the hard way, not once but twice.

First time: Engine blew, bought a used engine and swapped it in using the original tranny. Dumbass didn't install the torque converter correctly and fried the tranny.

Second time: Bought a used tranny from TAP Recycling. Swapped the tranny and the differential went out about a month later.

Took the tranny back to TAP Recycling and got another one under warranty. Good thing TAP is only 25 mins away.

Sold the car to a friend and as far as I know its running fine.

I'm not trying to scare you.

My buddie is just a dumbass and didn't install things properly.

If the tranny is in good condition and its installed properly, you shouldn't have any problems.
