i am so disapointed / mad right now....i attempted to heat up my tails and take the amber piece out....my success of my car's projects has run out...after the first heat up of the left tail (after puting a little crack in it, shouldve stopped there) the center tail...big mistake...as soon as i pulled slightly, a chunk of lense snapped right off....about two inches long vertically along the outside edge...i dont have pics and i dont wanna take them cus itll piss me off even more....so...after the tail cooled down i took my ever faithful GE window and door caulk and applied it to the damaged area....it held on through me putting the tail back on the car, so thats good enough for me...my dad is gonna kill me for doing this and the old "i told you so" and "You never listen to me"...so i decided once i have the money im jus gonna order the clear / red tails from ebay and call it a day...andif ur wondering, no i didnt et the amber out, i decided, jus like cow, to cut my losses and quit while im ahead....if thats not bad enough, my aunt calls me 5 minutes after i caulk up the tail and asks if she can borrow my car tommorow...wtf....i dont wanna say no, but i want my car tommorow cus ill be runnin around...damn........SHIT IM SOOOOOOOOO MAD RIGHT NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

so sorry to hear that! stuff like that happens to me all the time with the DIY jobs...

but good idea on just getting the red/clears from Ebay..it's a lot easier, the only thing that sucks is giving up the cash

^yeh...plus taking out that piece doesnt look that good anyway...theres a big gap between the red lenses and you can tell something has been taken out...and sportivo wtf r u talkin bout!!!!????

Sometimes when being creative, you win some and lose some.

Since you're going to end up getting replacement tails from Ebay, might as well just put the B.S. lens tape over the old ones.

I'm sure the tape is not going to be there for long anyways. You're going to hate the lens tape so much, it will just make you do everything you can to get your new lights ASAP, right?

Before you know it, you got your replacements ordered, delivered, and installed; and you're back in the mix...

Man, I was just in Philly some weeks ago with my brother.

Went to this nice BBQ spot to eat, then headed down to this "gentlemen's club" called Show&Tell.....

good luck man... i have to replace my tails too. i bought a pair off ebay for 47 bucks, orig. oem. the guy is even on this board too . nice guy.

ive screwed up so many things... i dont even wanna get started.
