transmission grinding noise

I have a new 04 Camry LE. I notice that the automatic transmission makes a low-pitch grinding noise when it shifts from the 1st to the 2nd gear. It is as if it is trying to rush through all the differential gears and goes straight to the second gear. In addition, the noise is more apparent when it shifts at a higher rpm, between 2 and 3k rpm. Has any one encountered this problem before? It is normal? Thanks.

I would take it to the dealer, tell them your problem, and it should be under warranty.... My does that when ever she has a problem.
