Sponsors?

Does anyone know a site where they will sponsor my car? As in give me free stickers and discount on parts, or anything like that.

Hey man whats up, i have a 91 V6 LE wagon that im currently customizing(body kit, drop kit, exhaust, hood). If you find any clear corner lights for a 91 camry, or clearER headlights send me a message. Oh yeah, your picture links are dead on your website just in case you wanted to know. Im not too sure about sponsors, your local customizing shop might sponsor you if your car is really really phat.

Yeah I had to take the pics down because they were too blurry. I'n going to borrow my friends camera and the pics should be up by the end of this weekend.

Having a sponsor!! Getting stuff for cheap, or even free!! Sounds great!! But think again.

But why would the particular shop/manufacturer want to sponsor your car over someone else's car? You have to first put your own money on the line to stand out from the crowd, even after that, the sponsor requires you to write a proposal on how YOU can help THEM increase their visiblity (its a two-way street). The sponsor would also require your committment to enter most shows in your area. If you are willing to commit that much time and money (remember entering your car in shows costs $$), then you are ready to look for a sponsor.

That sounds like more money than I have right now. It looks like I'll have to wait a while for a sponsor then. Thanks for the info SBC.

Well, this probably won't help you at all....but imma still say it anyway :grin:

The only "sponsor" that i have is my car club "combat zone". I get HUGE discounts at my speedshop (example: I got my 17's with toyo proxies, shipped, balanced, and mounted for a grand :smile: ) And i get free entrance to car shows and at the track. Thats not really a sponsor, but i think its sorta spiffy :smile:

Well, as Jeff pointed out, its a two way street. I currently have 4 sponsors and I put tons of my money in before attempting to contact anyone. Once your at a competition level, you sould send a proposal. Includ plenty of high res. pics. List of mods. Shows attended, future shows. What YOU can do for THEM. If your lucky and they need someone like you,then youll get in. Some offer free stuff, while others offer Discounts.
