passanger side door key thing a majig..

when i go to put the key into the keyhole on the passanger side door, i cant turn it left or right to lock or unlock the door. does anyone kno what the problem could be? or do i just need a new handle/doorlock piece.

What if you jiggle it a little or back it off just a hair and try? Do you have any problems with the drivers side or the ignition?

drives side and ignition work perfectly, ive had this problem since we got the car (back in 97-98 i think)...but now i have decided to repair all mechincal/body stuff that is messed up and what not.

It's probably the locking mechanism. I don't have any idea what a new one costs that is cut to match your key.

Contact a Toyota dealer. That is the only thing I can think of. Maybe a locksmith can point you in the right direction as well.

can you lock the glove box with it if not that is not the master key it's the valle key

i have the same problem... my master key works on everything except for the passenger side

ya, it my key works for the trunk and the glove box...its just the passanger door
