hey im the proud owner of a 99 honda (prelude if u can) but im basically finished modding that up so im looking at new cars (no im not a rich prick).

the solara really interests me (the se v6 manual tranny) but from what i can see, there arent that many parts out for it.

basically i want to make a show and go car, but ive only been able to find TRD parts (the bodykit and s/c).

my question to you guys: is the solara a good buy? what bodykits are out there other than the trd one? can you mod the trd supercharger to run higher than 4 psi?

thanks guys, your input could turn a honda enthusiast into a toyota enthusiast.

thanks in advance.

There are parts out there as upgrades for suspension, catback, y-pipe, intakes, and clutches. As far as engine internals, there aren't any really since the 1MZFE is a high compression engine already. Most companies will not invest interest in them since they probably think the average buyer's age is the same compared to a Camry (50's).

For forced induction, yes, the only one available is the TRD S/C. For body kits, there are VIS, Black Widow, and one other that I can't remember, aside from the TRD.

It's up to personal taste, if you can test drive a 5-speed V6 Solara (or Camry), then you can make the decision. I'd buy the '02 Solara SE V6 manual that has been sitting at my dealer's lot for the past 6 months if I could. You can change up to a 7psi pulley without damaging the engine and/or drivetrain. But you will have to be careful, of course.
