ecu learning mode

how long does the ecu stay in learning mode after resetting the battery?

and is it supposed to not drive very agressively, cause it seems kinda reluctant to downshift when i floor it, keeping it around 2000-3500 rpm.

as far as i know its always learning, if you're being really agressive it'll become more agressive

it does take it a while to learn though

alright. i was worried that since resetting the ecu with my intake, that since the revs weren't going very high and the car wasnt pulling very hard that sumtin might be messed with the sensors. ill just try to drive it hard some more and see if it changes

If it was hunky-dorey before air inlet modification,
I would suspect your CAI more than the ECU.
Might be too lean -> detonation -> failsafe mode.
Put back original air intake, reset ECU and see if its good.
I think V6s are a little more sensitive.

i think its the ecu, i did some more aggressive driving today and its being more and more responsive in terms of downshifting and whatnot
