Well is it an auto/manual (stock or aftermarket clutch)?

It all depends on your driving too.

You can prevent it by installing tranny cooler and use redline oil. Or go for Level Ten upgrade if you still feel that's not enough.

My stock auto kicked out at 193,000 miles.

Stock ones will last you a while. Aftermarkets vary depending on who makes it.

Ekam, does Level Ten make custom trannys? They don't make a manual for the SC400. I'm thinking that might have to change

You can send the tranny to Level Ten and they'll beef it up for you.

Yeah, a tranny beef wouldn't be too bad. But a manual would give me better control over it. Which is what I want.

But I might consider the build-up. I'll have to talk to them.

Thanks

its a 5spd, i just had serviced (new seals and Gear Oil) along with a new OEM clutch.

a cooler wouldent be a bad idea.. im going to be puting 200WHP out with it (hopefully) i just wanted to know if its a known fact that they brake like thoothpicks or not.

upgrading the gear oil is another recomended thing?
dose that buy a good amount of life or not??

the car has 165k on it and i asume its the only trany its had. but it was a Grill car for 90% of its life. and im nice to it. (i dont Jam gears)

if i can get a year out of it i will be realy happy. BC by then i will be ready for a LSD and other fun stuff.. IE new trany
