Can pvc piping withstand engine heat? Was thinking about making a CAI out of it.

it probably would, but you're better off making it out of metal

PVC = Poly Vinyl CHLORIDE

Maybe that's why it gives off toxic fumes at high temperatures... You're better off with metal, dude.

i heard you can wrap the stock intake pipe with foil or something to stop engine heat from heating the pipe. is that possible?

yea you can with a heat deflecting wrap. you can try aluminum foil for the ghetto rig, i doubt youll get much if any gains from doing this though unless you drive under extreme temperature conditions.
