i just got my new aem cold air intake installed!! only took two hours with a friend and no one got cut.. too badly.. well we went to go and watch spidey 2 (ok movie first was better) and i pulled up next to a mustang... to cut to the point..by the time i realized it dual tips and i was in trouble.. it was WAY too late, not only did i get smoked but it was by a mustang.. HOWEVER, in my defense.. it was some ridiculous gt v8 version w/ 305hp (which i found out later)... it was all in good fun...but sheesh...

...at least my car SOUNDED like his..

all in all... definitely a satisfied with the upgrade
why is this in the camry forum...
to give a heads up to my fellow enthusiasts
intakes are great...
but v8's (even made by ford*cough*) still pwn me.

I actually saw a vid clip of a Gen3 V6 taking out a Mustang v6, not sure which year but one of the fairly recent ones.

how many people were in your car? you probably have more chance if u have no one else in your car..

and dont even think of racing a v8 on a straightaway.. on curvy road you would also have more chance

also tie his car to a pole or something, add some bricks in his trunk...while you at it flatten his tires, steal all his gas. then race him

I raced a camaro, my best friend, v6 manual tranny, nothing too big done, but im sure had more HP than me... but i still one by about a car lenght i was suprise at my 92 camry beating this 96 camaro.... it was fun i wish i got a trophy though... o well

my 4-cyl camry beat my friends v6 mustang once...but that was over a 2 mile distance and i think i won cuz of his poor driving, not because my car is faster
