what about giving 2 15" subs a try

I've had my bar for some time now, through winter, rain etc.. and it didn't give me any probs. Others hve suggested Marine grade lube adn teflon tape. It's worth a try.

Wrap the teflon tape where the bushings grab the bar with about 3-5 layers. Then reapply the grease inside and on top of the bushing, and on the brackets also. I did it on my Gen4 and friend's Solara, and no recurring noises, so far.
