Well gents, I just put a deposit for a 2001 Camry V6 5SPEED!!
I'm gonna drive down to Memphis to pick it up in two weeks. Pics in my Yahoo Briefcase. I haven't even seen the actual car yet!!
I'm thinking that maybe the letters T, R and their buddy D are going to be in the picture soon
Mods planned for the immediate future:
Infinity Basslink (transfer from my '99)
Sony Head (transfer)
Strut Tower (transfer)
Reverse glow Indiglos (en route)
Possibly my Infinity Reference components (transfer)
Mods planned when the finances become available:
TRD supercharger
Whiteline rear sway
TRD shock/strut package
TRD shortshifter??? (I'll have to see how the stock one feels)
TRD hi-flow air filter
Possibly a set of sport pedals/e-brake handle.
Any suggestions for further improvements???
I was giving a hard look at a new Scion tC until I found this beauty!
If any other chaps are wondering how they can get their hands on a fine manual tranny like this, they can be found on either Autotrader or usedcars.com.

Congrats on the car. Don't let excitement cloud your judgement. Considering you haven't seen the car, check it over carefully. Better yet, get a mech. to if you're not confident.
After that, bring her back and start transfering all your old mods and charge the SC on your credit card
Edit: one more suggestion...get coilovers if you can. I kick myself sometimes for cheaping out.
rare indeed, the only other person that i know that has a gen4 camry v6 5-speed is eurocamz.... nice find my friend...
and i'm sure you'll have loads of fun with the car!!!!
good luck~~

amerikim - Just use the advance search.
Phi - I doubt there can be much wrong with it since it only has 40k miles. I know I still need to check it out. I wonder if I could have the dealer inspect it, or send it to a shop outside?
EDIT: PHI - what's the diff between coilovers and regular aftermarket replacement springs?

Adjustability. You have the ability to configure camber angle, select custom spring rates, raise and lower the height of the car to suit driving conditions. There's a group buy for new D2 coilovers in the grp buy section. JIC Magic is another company that offers them.
I found like 25 of 'em on Usedcars.com across the country. The one I picked just so happened to be the best with lowest miles and closest all at the same time.
Now for the small matter of learning how to drive stick!!
