Camry Vs Evo8 and Sti

I need help rebuilding my Camry to run against the Evo8 and the STi some people say it isnt possible. But hey, its Toyota Till i Die!!! Im having a really hard time finding parts for the 1mz-fe and the 3mz-fe engine. all ideas will be token.

Also in Australia they make the Camry V6 and Manual Drive
i was also wondering if i can turn my V6 Camry Auto into a Manual drive.

The Cars we are Using are
Camry's
2002 V4 Auto
2002 V4 Manual
2002 V6 Auto
2004 V6 Auto

Yes, you can make it manual. Do a search on auto to manual in the Camry forum and you will find all you need. Also, talk to Tony the Tiger, who is a well known user on this forum. He has done the swap and gone much, much further with a turbo setup. Mad props to Triple T!

Yes, your Camry can be converted to a manual.

With FWD, you will never compete against them. They are both AWD, and will wale you off the line.

well TRD makes a supercharger for the 1mz, so besides that your going the custom route, and unless you can do the majority of the work yourself be prepared to spend lots and lots of money. so much money in fact it wouldn't really be worth it.

you might have better luck modding a supra to keep up with an sti or evo 8
