i started my car today and heard it rattling in the engine bay...after awhile at idle it stopped...but as soon as i pushed the throttle back down it started rattling. When i drove it down the driveway it had very little power at all..

and another thing...My dad had borrowed my car for about 2 months when he was down in florida on business. He claims he changed the oil, but i just got finished changing it and it was dirty as hell....GAH!....
do you think this could have anything to do with it?
ive got a similar problem......whether or not it is the same as yours...i dont know
my sounds more like if you put a tiny little rock in a empty coke can and shake it around really fast , thats the noise i hear ......but i only hear it at about 2000rpm

yeah i tried doing that too , the noise is quieter using Premium ....but not gone
i'm leaning towards spun bearings, if my dad is just lying to me and didn't change the oil while he was in florida.
cost of repair of spun bearings? estimated?
not really sure though...cause its not a clunking sound...its more of the rock in can be shaken kinda sound.....i'll take off the valve cover and have a looksy and check all my wires and whatnot...
