shift boots and shifters

This might be a dumb question.

But can you put a shift boot and shifter on gen3's i've seen shifters but not shift boots as well. I know shiftboots are basicly universal but how come i haven't seen many people with them. Is this job hard to do or is it just not popular ?

I personally want to put a black shift boot on my auto gen3.5 but not sure if i would be able to pull it off dude to some odd reason.

camry has a nice stock shift boot, unlike some other companies in those years who had rubber ones.

You can do it the same way that grapefury did with his gen4, just put it around the plate that has the P-R-N-D-2-L on it and then put the trim piece around the boot. You'll have to take out the soft plastic rectangular ring on the trim piece so that the thickness of the boot will fit.
