Steering noise after belt change.

I just changed both my belts on a 97 Camry. They seem fine, but when the steering wheel is turned all the way (either direction) it squeeks loud. Doesn't matter if the car is cold or warmed up. It doesn't make any noise when you start it up. Only when you turn it all the way to the side.

Is the belt just too loose? I am guessing that because it is aftermarket that maybe it was just a tad longer and I didn't tighten it up enough.

Am I on the right track? Or do you guys have any other ideas of what maybe causing this. Fluid level is fine too.

Thanks.

I think you answered your own question. Classic sign of a loose belt.

yeah sounds like a loose belt

it happened to my car when i bought it, i needed to replace the belt anyway, so they replaced it and made sure it was tight, and the noise went away
