oil filter relocation

i dont know what took me 8 years to buy this but yes relocation kit for the 1mz, did some reserch they use the same oil filter as the 96 tt supra's (there some info for people who want bigger filters) but i was wondering which of the sites are good (wont steal my money).

http://www.performancedepot.com/cate...=&brand_id=288 $120

http://www.maccar.com/greturbo.html $128 (scroll down)

http://www.titanmotorsports.com/gredoilfilre.html $135

well i included a few just incase you say a site is a rip ...

THANKS!

^

wow thanks for that site now my next question would be would it mount up to my car?

http://www.jcwhitney.com/autoparts/P...atalogId-10101
$44.95
or
http://store.summitracing.com/defaul...G4985&x=13&y=8
$34.95
they dont list the diamiter and i have no idea how but the hole is for the filter (my dad is gone with the micrometer) the only reason i went with those was that i knew it would mount up because the supra had the same filter.

just called them nither knew what size it was. i learn be studing the filter that it's 3/4'x16. well i might just order the summit model and hope for the best in this! oh summit had better tech help the guy there said it wount mount because most likely built for large block american engines. but i just checked the perma-cool web site and that was much more help and the jcwhitney one would adapt!

I hear you about the mess, I just changed oil this past weekend and it is kinda tight down there, and a mess, next time I'll be sure to put a pan below. Here's a question - with the extra tubing on the kit, will this set-up need more oil added to the system, like 1/2 qt or something?

yup it will need more oil it all depends on how far away i put the filter, but i guess no more than half a qt or so i'll let you guys know next week when i get my kit in. also any sugestions on where to put the filter? i was thinking having the filter face up (hole on top) near the drain plug so when i take the filter off i wount have to move the drain pan but then i rember there be belts there .... and i dont want it where tony's is because with that vlave in the filter i know oil going to be everywhere.

update: i got my kit in yesterday and put some of it together (few fittings and what not) but now i have no idea where to put it. there is no space around that engine that you could put this thing, so far i think i can mount it between the exhaust header and the front mount by the tranny, but looks like i need some 45 degree brackets to mount it there, well i'm off to see if i can find any, and any ideas where to put it so it wount make a mess would be GREAT.
