water pump

The water pump on my 98 camry just went out. The guy that towed it said since the water pump went out that the timing belt is broken. Is that true? What would be the piece of a new pump?

this is what you need since you'll be there you can save your self the hassle of having to pay to get it redone:
water pump costs about 32.96usd

crankshaft seal about 5.48usd

camshaft seal about 4.48usd

valve cover gasket w/plug seals about 19.98usd

and the timing belt about 37.28usd

if you change all those then you won't have to worry about those till your next belt change

do them both since they are near each other. Last year my water pump started making a clicking noise.-as i was told by toyota- and then i took it to my cusin and it turns out the timing belt needed a change. so i went ahead and had both changed.
