A/C problem

I have a '90 Camry and the A/C runs fine when you first start the car and it runs well for a little while but then the green light starts blinking, the compressor quits and no cold air - the comp. will start working again after being off for a while but it doesn't stay on long before it kicks off again - any ideas/suggestions would be appreciated. Joe

My best guests would be either I needs a refill of refrigerant or maybe the refrigerant is getting so cold that is freezes and clogs the lines from the compressor to the car. So after you use it for awhile it shuts off and isn't cold anymore.

My bro's car also had that problem so I think that may be it.
