Would it really be worth it to swap out a 5sfe with a 1mze, it must be cheaper that fitting a 3sgte in there, i know its not as fast but why not? Are the differences between the 5sfe and the 1mze all that noticable? I think im just sick of having 4cly cars and I dont like the way the 5sfe sounds. its too high pitched.

I absolutely agree with you-4-cyl engines suck..I got one and I know what it feels like..You turn on the a/c and you are the slowest car on the road after Pinto  .Certainly I'd LOVE to change the engine BUT you have to have lots of money and good friends with mechanical skills..It's not as easy as it sound
See ya

Well why don't you go for the 4-cyl turbo kit?

I don't see the 1MZ swap will give you more potential than the turbo kit because the 4-cyl is a lot lighter to play with.

Unless you do a 1MZ swap + the S/C... but who's smart enough to do that?!

It'll be a great fun project if you can do everything yourself. I don't know what it's like in the states, but here in Aussietown, if you make any major modifications like this, you need it to be approved and certified by an engineer. Then you have to to the safety requirements as well.

Using this case for an example, you would need to change the suspension to take the greater weight, upgrade the brakes blah blah......
