WOuld it be too hard, or has ne one done it before...
If not, where are some cheap places to get them installed in the GTA?
Thanks

You can do the job if you have these tools:

1) 1/2" impact wrench, 2) 1/2" and 3/8" torque wrenches, 3) 5mm allen key, 4) various 3/8" and 1/2" sockets to remove the nuts and bolts, 5) spring compressor, 7) jack and jack stands, and 9) a friend to help you tighten the bolts when you hold the strut assembly up into the cavity.

Those were the tools that I had to use to do all the suspension work on my Gen3, Gen4, and a friend's Solara.

Here are the pictures from when I installed the H&R sport springs on my Gen3.

Did you change your struts also?
IF not, wont the stiffness of the new springs wear out the OEM struts alot quicker?
After you take the sturt with the OEM spring on it, how do you remove that spring and put on the H&R one, do you have to weld it on?
Thanks
Shan

No, I didn't change the struts since the OEM ones on the SE model seemed to be firmer compared to the LE and XLE models. Even with the OEM springs, the struts seemed stiff also, and my friends agreed. Right now, the ride is very similar to stock, no bouncing symptoms. But it does handle and look better.

No, nothing is welded to change suspension. Did you look at the picture of the spring compressor that I used? In order for the strut mounts to be taken off, the springs need to be compressed first to relieve the recoil tension caused by the springs pushing upward on the mounts. Otherwise, the mounts will fly upward if you just take them off without compressing the springs. I highly suggest buying/borrowing a Haynes manual and read it over and understand the procedures for changing suspension before actually do it. I "studied" mine before attempting.
