My H&R Sport springs and Tokico strut inserts have arrived and i just brought em home !!
After I pick up some hi-temp paint, Im taking a drive down to Windsor this Saturday (about 3-4 hours drive depending on the driver - Daks, wanna come?) to visit my uncle who owns a shop down there to do the suspension install, brake cleaning, and caliper painting.
My uncle also said he can do a tranny swap no problem. He has around 10 parts suppliers (new, used, and aftermarket) and he says that he can get all the parts required no sweat. So thats a big thing i can look forward to in the future.
Yeah my H&R Sport springs were red as well... not like you get to see it after the install unless you look under the wheel-well.
We should get the group buy going again. I am in for sure... I know CamryRR is and a few other guys who had their money in... lets do it!

Wow that was really quick. Yea I knew your springs are going to be red because that's what Phi has.
Now I think my Camry is special (in terms of suspension)....
You guys better order the swaybar man... it makes the suspension upgrade COMPLETE!

Maybe I can come with you and do my brakes whil we're at it... I can help you with struts and springs too since I did the same thing! Will your uncle be around for professional advice/assistance?

yeah i know the caliper painting is useless on my doggie-dish hubcaps, but i just dont like the idea of driving 4 hours JUST for one thing
as for the tranny swap, i will humbly take the position of guinnea pig and see how well it goes, in the future of course. He through me a number of like ~$1200 to do it for me, his nephew, so i assume thats like all parts fee's... I dont know, sounds like a good thing to do in a few months (about the time the Hytech headers should be out)...
How is your ride now that you have the new struts/springs setup? I was thinking of TRD lowering springs and Tokico struts to save cost and since so many people seem to prefer this setup. Also I think TRD struts maybe too stiff. Another question, when you change the springs/struts can you save the OEM parts to be use later when I'm older and need softer suspension
Hi T2000 the new setup is realy amazing its like when i drove my friends M3 Bmw.Now my car has very minimal body roll and at good speeds it seems to be much more stable and responsive. One day i will give you a test drive if you want i should be going down to TO in late Sept so maybe we could meet there. As for all my Oem parts i still got them all here and they are in the same shape as when they where on my car, so i could always go back to stock.Only problem now is a dumb engine light that will be fixed tomorow hopefully.
