What type of noise is it?

You may want to buy some white lithium grease and spray down all the rubber pieces in your suspension like the swaybar links and shit.

...if its a bit more of a clunk then its an endlink.

I would think the strut mount would click more when the wheels are being turned because the berings are smashed or missing but a clunk when accelerating or stopping would be an endlink.

Does it happen over bumps? Can you isolate a regon, i.e. one corner of the car from which the noise is originating?

Not really, the gen 4 strut mount problem persists (and is audible) at low speeds...starting/stopping at traffic lights, and such...NOT while turning or going over 20 mph.

I got some type of clunk noise too. They said it was my rear sway bar bushings. That was like 1 year & 1/2 ago. Yet to get it fixed.

Admiral, yours is definatly a endlink bushing.
Its where the endlink connects to the swaybar or the strut.
