How can i get more mpg?

Since gas right now in Belize is at $8 ($4 USD) I wanted to know what are some cheap and easy ways to getter better fuel efficiency. Believe me all you comments will be helpful since I'm a 18 year old with not much money. I have a '93 Cam LE 4 Cyl.

leave O/D on, and dont step on it..

make sure the tires are all inflated to their proper Psi, and also, get a new air filter...

and change all the fluids while you're at it...

so w/ the O/D on it saves al lil' gas? I always thought it was the opposite.

O/D lets you shift into a higher gear i.e. 4th or 5th, hence the name Over Drive.
You get better milage at lower RPM.

Don't carry a large load in your car if you don't have to. Less weight = less work = more mpg

the most effective way to increase mileage is to change driving habits. Be gentle on the gas aswell as the brakes. Driving at the speed limit does wonders too.

ive heard not having ur a/c on can help save gas.

well it works for me. most of the time i have my a/c off and to me it does seem to save me gas.

Keep your windows closed is an easy one. Intakes give more mpg if you take it easy but are kinda expensive. Try to reduce friction in the engine. Though is 1 to 2 mpg going to make that much of a difference so its your call.

60 mph is when you get the best milage.
Overdrive should be TURNED OFF while doing city driving.
Highway drive you can turn it on because it gives you the 4th gear/5th gear.

I have also heard that for city driving its more efficient to turn on the a/c but on highway you should open windows...
