does anyone know where i can get the custom motor mounts i would need to swap a 3sgte into my gen 3 coupe?
are you using transmission or the e153 tranny off the MR2 ??? If your using the stock tranny you'll only need the stock mounts for the 5S-FE... If your using the 3S-GTE tranny I would suggest give elproto@aol.com a email ....

I'll probally be using the tranny from the 5sfe but does that really have anything to do with the mounting points on the 3sgte motor????
Then your stock 5S-FE mount should work with no problem only thing is I would suggest getting a upgraded clutch kit. Clutch master stage 3 , RPS turbo clutch stage 3 or ACT stage 3...

I DON'T understand ~!
If i put that engine on a gen 3 camry
how many horsepower should i have?
with manual
DEN, let me simplify... are you talking about us-spec 3S-GTE, j-spec. 3S-GTE, MR2 , Celica, 1st gen, 2nd gen , 3rd gen , or 4th gen ???
there different power levels for different year, model the motor came off of, and if you get a us or j-spec. one ...
so be more specific, when asking a questions like that...

there is a web site called toysport
i just checked out over there
i am totally understand what are you guys talking about now
to upgrade my 5SFE to 3SGTE(depends on year and us or japan), i can easily make my camry to reach 200-240 hp
omg~!
in that cool web page, if you buy parts from there they will help you to rebuild your engine.
Camry is not hard to upgrade to 300 horsepower
300 to the wheels, shouldnt be a problem with the 3S-GTE. I made 281.4hp / 238.1 tq to the wheels at 13psi and I usually run 18psi when I go racing soo I should be around 330 to the wheels @ 18psi...
now that's what i like to hear! oh and by the way i was planning on a minimum of a stage three clutch on something like that. And also, I noticed that u can buy a turn key 3sgte that has somewhere in the vicinity of 700hp, if u feel like spending 14,000 dollars for one allready built up to that.

yeah supra store is claiming they can do the same thing as TOPSECRET in Japan did with the 3S-GTE... That thing is built for top end not very streetable in my own opinoin. BUt I'll be close with the race motor...
Why does transmission option matter when it comes to engine mounts though? Gen 3 5sfe is bolted at the block not the tranny right? I don't really see this, do you mean only the transmission mount that's holding the tranny up?
thanks! I'm kinda thinking about doing it some time in the future.
And by the way, Is there such a thing as JDM 5sfe? I saw them on some engine importer's list, but I believe 5sfes were for USDM only ( The 2.2L version that is )
And also how hard is it to get a S51 ( I believe it's S51, for gen 3 camry )tranny replacement? Would S53 from celicas fit right on? What about the ones from MR2? Shifter direction matters?
get a E153 from a V6 camry. stronger, taller gears, stronger. its also stronger. youll now also run innto shaft problems...

man, you have no idea how EXTREMELY rare those are. It's hard to even see one on the street, I doubt that there's any actually sold in US, not to mention finding one for sale. I don't think I'm doing it anytime soon, I'm just kinda curious.
