Hey guys,

I would like to drop my car another inch or so..(Coil overs)..But I am conserned about the winter..I have been told that coilovers get eaten up by snow, cold etc..?? True?

Ideally..I would like to drop it like 2-2.5 inches in the summer and then bring it back up in the winter??

Or just by a Pathfinder for the Winter!!

well it depends if hes talking about coilover sleeves (just springs) or the full coilover system. if its the springs, those things are usually less cash that your typical lowering springs. now the true coilover system is going to be a lot of $$$$$!

ok with the coilover sleeve, you get a spring perched on an adjustable sleeve. the spring rate is incredibly high and uncomfortable- trust me do not get these! a true coilover system's spring rates, dampening rates, and all are adjustable, so its a good ride.. this is all adjustable because in a true coilover set the strut is combined with the spring. on the sleeve system, the new spring and sleeve just replace your eibachs, leaving you with a super high non adjustable spring rate.

jon

edit- if you want to talk prices, you are looking at anywhere from 100-300 for sleeves and 1200-2500 for a true system.
