I got all my pads changed a few months ago, plus all the rotors machined and they haven't stopped squealing. I got my mechanic to put on that blue goo stuff...it worked for a week but now the squealing is back. Anyone know how to get rid of this sound?

I don't have shims behind the pads, that might help, right? How much would that stuff cost?

It really depends on the compound of the pads. The anti-squeal stuff eventually burns off, which is why they are squeaking again. Don't know about the shims.

I believe Camry brakes just squeal.
Mine did it for a couple of months, 6 or 7... only after i gave up and stopped trying to fix it did it eventually go away. Haven't heard them so much as churp for almost 4 months now!
