Steering problem

Let me start off by saying that at first I thought it was just a brake dragging, like a malfunctioning caliper or bracket. But after about two more days of driving I realized that it was making the noise even when i did not brake, but NOT all the time. It is ONLY when I go around a corner. It comes from the right front, and is ONLY when I turn right. I have tried reversing and turning and that did not cause this noise. Also, either I cannot hear it at higher speeds, or it is only when I am driving slowly, OR the third possibility is that it is the extent that I am turning the wheel.(Like only on a 90 or near 90 degree corner.

My only clue is that it may be the component that balances the speed of the wheels (front wheel drive) as it goes around the corner. Any suggestions would be apreciated.

my car was makeing the same sound a few months ago. i checked the power steering fluild and it was low. when i filled it up the car didnt make the noise. u might just want to check that.

It is probably a wheel bearing. They usually sound worse when cornering, when they first start going.

Yeah possibly a wheel bearing but I think the problem is that your brake hardware is worn and when you turn it is shifting the u-shaped clips and they are rubbing against the rotor. And i'm not talking about the shims on the back of the pads. The one that the pads slide on between the caliper and the pad. Check the rotor for a scrape line on either the inside or outside edge of the brake rotor.
