Question Yet Another Quick Strut Question

I know I'm going to get flamed for this (I DID search, again), but here's another strut question for gen3 Tokico's... For the Tokico full strut, (HB3179. HB3180, HB3181, HB3182) they just bolt right up for 94s, right? I sent my inserts back to Shox.com and the sales rep called me yesterday to express his concern over my choice, since those part numbers are for 95-96 Camry's. I just want to make sure these will fit without me having to buy anything else, like a new upper strut mount. Thanx!

The 94 I had was made in japan and manufactured in 93. Yes it did have the servicable struts. Do a search for pictures of the struts. Then compare those to yours. If they are servicable there will be a thin four corner flange( or something like that), on the assembly. That is servicable. If it looks like a sleeve it not servicable. Good luck

^ agreed. The ONLY way to confirm is through a visual inspection. There have been reported cases where the model year was not indicative of what type of struts the car came with.

Yeah, I'm one of those cases. I just need to confirm that the Tokico full struts for the 95-96 Camry will directly bolt onto my 94 Camry. As for assembly, mine was made in the US in January of 1994. I actually called Tokico today and the "technician" (called, left voicemail, and he called back. didn't remember my name, question, NOTHING, just "returned my call") said the years listed for the applications for Camrys on their web site were for those made in Japan.

As for the flange, does it look something like this?

I've been trying to figure out how that comes off, if it does. I looked at those pictures (sealed vs. nonsealed) before, but after taking out my strut and taking it to several auto places (including the dealer), no one could tell me how it unscrews. So I sent the inserts back for an exchange, which I now need to confirm if I'm ordering the right parts...

*EDIT*

If it helps any, here's the link to when I tried to sell my inserts... Tokico Inserts
