Mine is the same as yours. I went through the manual and it doesn't even mention that it's an option  Most alarms have that extra button (channel) for that very purpose. I'm assuming it is possible if somebody knew what they were doing (ie. actuators, selenoids etc...) But I'm not capable of doing that myself.

I had one in my 2000, it's the RS3200 with 3 buttons but I got the trunnk release module from the States. For some strange reason it's not even available as an options in Canada. Actually the search for it started me on all this about modding my car.
It kind of pissed me off that the 3rd button is there for nothing and in the manual it even said that the AUX is used for remote trunk release and yet all the Toyota dealers in Ottawa said they never heard of a remote trunk release for the Camry. So off to the search I went and here I'm, chatting with you guys on this board today

Acutally the trunk release is also not available as a factory option in the states as well. I was told by the deale that Toyota dico'd it in 99 for some strange reason. You can however buy the OEM release kit IF your OEM alarm supports it.

Unfortunately for me I have an XLE, which comes with a RS3200 Plus alarm, not the same as the RS3200. I bought the trunk release kit, took it to the dealer, paid $250 to install it, yes $250 US, and they said it could not be done.

So they took your money even when they know it could not be done? That's really suck. What pissed me off most was this feature is available on a cheap Pontiac SunFire but not on a Camry, why? They do now in 2002.

Anyway, do you have DRL? on page 11 of the fog light instruction, I did what they instructed but when I have DRL on, the fog is not on. I did push the Scotchlock connector all the way.

$250 was their estimate for labor only. THe part was another $75 I ordered from TP4U.com. I did NOT have to pay cause it could not be done. I returned the parts to TP4U.com.

Yup I am pissed it was not available even on my fully loaded XLE.

Yes I have DRL. If you follow the instructions, the Fogs only work when your head lights are on. Luc says if I wire the switch to the parking light relay, it will work when the parking lights are on.

My fog is working when I turn on the headlights. But that is like normal isn't it? I thought when you wire up the with the DRL like it said in the instruction, you should be able to turn the fog on when DRL is on, which mean anytime. If not, why 2 seperate instructions for DRL and non DRL equiped car? Maybe because DRL is the high beam?

Yes it is normal. The fogs are designed to work only when your head lights are on. Your DRL is nothing more than low powered high beams. If you were to flick your high beams on, the fogs will sh*t off automatically.
