Did anyone watch the Amazing Race last night? (Before anyone dogs on me for watching the Amazing Race let me just clarify that my wife had it on!) The contestants were in countries that border the Persian Gulf. They had to take taxi cabs to their destinations. All of the cabs were Gen 3, 4, 4.5, or 5's. In fact, it seemed like all of the cars on the road were Camrys. It was pretty neat to see all of those Camrys. They were everywhere! I tried to notice some of the difference between them and my gen 4.5. The big thing I noticed was they all had turn signal indicators on the front fenders. I didn't realize that the Camry was so popular in Kilimanjaro or Dubai or any of these middle eastern countries.

there are camry cabs in australia too, as well as avalons.

but its pretty rare to see one though.

also mercedes...

i think they're privately owned independant Taxi companies...

I saw the show also ,I was focusing on only gen5s and I noticed a different grill and headlights. The tailights were the same.

Gen4 and 5 Camrys are commonly used as taxis here in T.O.
