Just called to get a price on installing a magnaflow (#14816), replacing the piping from the cat back and a new resonator for my 95 LE V6 and this is what i was quoted:
Seemed a bit high to me. They wanted $100 just to hang the muffler and since it wasnt a bolt on replacement it would require "custom mounting" as they put it...
Going to have to look around some more, try some smaller shops....this one was Car-x...

i got 2 magnaflows installed for the price of 160 w/ catback and resonator.
hrm. i just got a new muffler about a month and a half ago. custom 2.5 pipe from the cat back...took out the resonator...and it was......265 after tax!
I called another shop today and the guy was a total @ss.....i asked how much it would be to mount a muffler that i brought in and the guy just says "no". I asked him what do you mean by "no"? He tells me he wont mount a muffer purchased anywhere but his shop. I asked him why and he tells me "you dont bring your own burger to McDonalds do you?"
that sucks man... yea some exhaust shops dont like to work with mufflers they dont sell, because then if for some reason your muffler is crappy they dont get blamed. just keep calling around, OR talk to the owner of a local performance shop... thats where i found my exhaust hookup- from the recommendation of someone else. generally performance shops will know who is good and who isnt as well, and should be able to point you in the direction of a place that will do it!! good luck!
I'm going to have to do a little braging here. I got my custom bent cat-back piping done for free!!! All I had to do was fix the guys who works at Mienekes PS2 and walla free cat-back exhaust.
