Is it safe to use a 4 bricks like 2 on each side to hold all four corner of the car up.. (not the bricks on the corner though) to unbolt a cat converter.. I dont know if I trust my jack and dont have no jackstands or anything..?

Dude, go buy a jackstand from Autozone or something! Their only $20!!

That doesn't sound safe at all and can really hurt you if it doesn't work

I don't know about concrete blocks, but I always use wooden blocks on my car. Jackstands are too flimsy lookint to me, the base is too small. I've used wooden blocks to hold up the rear end of the car, but never all 4 corners.

I've seen others use cement blocks and they were fine but not sure how much I trust it.. I know they are not alot but I have no job and just spent around 400-600 for repairs and shyt...

Still, it's not worth risking your life

You can do that on you own risk. Nobody here will approve any unsafe action. I don't wanna blame myself for telling someone to put car on bricks and he got kill.
Some people will take the tire off and put them under the car. So if it fall, it fall on the rim and not gonna crash you. Again you're on you own.

Cool

Whatever dude. Bricks are too brittle and I've seen too many spilt in yards with brake rotors holding the car up... IMHO if you can't afford jack stands, you have no biz working on your car. Sorry, for your lack of disposable income, but that's just sad dude.

You should never hold a car up with only a jack... Unless you have a jack that you can LOCK in position; when you pump it up, it's slowly comming back down no matter what you do. Seriously... Buy some jacks stands and don't ask a stupid question!

Oh and wtf you can afford four jacks, but not one jacks a 4 jackstands?

I saw in the uber wall-mart a couple weeks back, they had a jack and 4 stands in a box for like $50-$60 on sale.

^^^^^ = BAD mmmkay?

Suck it up and go buy jackstands. It's not worth the damage (and future repairs you may have to make) to the car, nor your life.
