quick hood help needed

just put on and fitted my cf hood, problem is it doesnt shut all the way

everything clears just it doesnt have enuff weight to push the latch part down to secure it

any help??

can't you just use your hand to press the hood down? Otherwise, just use your hoodpins to secure it. You did get hoodpins right?

i pressed, i sat on it, had my dad try nothing

just not enuff to push it down

hood pins i have but the body shop has been F*cking around never called me back so i got pissed and decided to do it myself

im gonna go upload the pics now

I'm confused. You're refering to that latch at the front of the hood right? The latch is spring loaded and shouldn't require much effort to realease. Certainly you hand should be more than enough. You'd better start buying Wheaties dude!

if it doesn't latch properly..i strongly advise u get those hood pins installed ASAP.......

use a hammer

j/k check to see if the latch is working properly and that it isn't closed while you are trying to put the hood on

the latch goes its the part that locks it, i took a pic opf the lock

also the hood isnt on i took it off i aint stupid

can you manually pry and unlatch it with a screwdriver?

u can but its freakin hard, plus very hard to get to i can only push that down with hood open, plus id have to do that every time

no, stock hood fine, just i tried to put on the cf hood cause body shop never got back to me if i could bring it in or not

im gonna have to bring it in

just the hood isnt heavy to push down that latch and lock into place

its only held by the lil hook that you undo with ur finger when ur at the hood about to open it

i wish a gen 4 on this page with a cf hood would see this

this happen to me. you will need to take off the two springs that hold up your hood, its too strong even if it closes your hood will pop up into a wired shape because of the strenght of the springs.

seccond i had to cut off two safty brakets close to the windshield, after i did those the hood was fine.
