Engin check light on

Hi,

I sent my Avalon to Pepboy to drive axle (outer CV boot broken). After I got the car back, the engin check light is no. I check my own manual. It needs to send to Toyota dealer. Could some one tell me what could be a problem?

You can take it to AutoZone and they'll hook the scanner up and tell you what the problem is. They'll do it for free, just takes a few minutes.

I took batteray post out for few hours and put it back the engine check light is off now.

The light may come back on, if so and needs repair, DEMAND that Pep Boys pays for it out of their own pocket, and not yours.
