a/c high/low knob is stuck

On my '92 camry the high low knob broke off. The post behind the knob will not turn with another knob or pliers. It is stuck on high, but there's no air blowing out. Is this an a/c problem or a simple problem with the post? Any ideas on how to fix?

Thanks

take the knob from the other big temp control and switch it in there when you need to adjust it
