Wheel change

I would like to put larger diameter wheels on a 1998 Camry LE. There are 14 incher's now and I thought to go to 16. They don't need to be real fancy, even steel with covers would be fine. How would this change affect the speedometer/odometer ?? Has anyone done this and what did you experience in the way of changes ??
Thank s for any and all help.

Well basically there won't be a huge difference with 16's for you, but your speedometer will give you a lower speed than the actual speed that your traveling at. The difference should not be that much though.

yup, smaller sidewall, the best reason to go with larger rims.

Tire calcutator

This is a great tool if you are looking at replacing your wheels & tires and you want to keep your speedometer/odometer fairly accurate.

Yep NOOB is what I am, with a Toyota that is. I'm 72 and been around the block a number of times. Automobiles have changed a lot and so I figured I would ask the folks who are doing this stuff all the time for some advice. Thank you all for the input.
