Head help

Doing a full blown port and polish. I'm stuck with the valve covers off and in a delima.

Is there any way to pull the heads *without* taking off all of hardware from the top motor mount support to the alternator, timing belt cover and belt. I can't see a way. Half the bolts on this side are stripped so badly I can't get even half sized sockets on them. I know who did it because I know where I bought the car from a year ago had to replace the head gaskets and valve cover gaskets.

btw already hammered a 13.5mm kobalt socket on and it just broke the socket... So no hammering sockets.

Bah, add a trip to Lowes after this to replace a socket...

Just a suggestion.. In this case it is always better use sockets with 6 sides (sorry I don't know how to say that in a proper English) instead of "multi-sides"

I was using 6 sided sockets. 12 sided are gay... I got it out taking the air grinder and cutting a slit in the head, then screwing it out with an impact hammer.
