when i was installing my new gauges i had half a tank of gas, i must have bumped the gas needle and when i put back the gauges and started up my car, the needle read full. Now, if i go and fill up my car, will the needle recaliberate itself? If not, how can i get it recalibrated?
Thats the only way to tell, if you go fill it up. And if all you did is bump it like you said it should recalibrate itself yes. I know b/c I removed my 91 instrument cluster.
what can you do with it? Get a perfromance clutch from a number of companies out there.
There are lots of options for third gen camrys like yourself depends what you want to do
ok the needle is at full, and it won't move!! i think i will try to turn it upside down, cause i think i may have turned it upside down when installing the indiglo gauges, thanks
well technically i didn't remove just the needle, i had to remove this thing that attached the needle to the gauge, and i may have bumped it or i may have flipping it upside down and installed it backwards, but in this situation you definately needed to remove that part
thats why u shoulda made a note of where your needle was at. i tink all of the other needles had springs on em so it doesn't matter if u touch em. i slightly moved my gas needle when i put in the indiglos but i put it back to how i remembered it to be. and it didn't recaliberate itself
like elegantcam said... check to see that the indiglo gauge face is not popping up and interfering with the movement of the needle. that may be the case.
ok i checked the gas gauge needle and doesn't seem like the stuff if popping up, i turned it around and i think i got it working now, but if anything else comes up, i'll tell u guys,
thanks a lot guys!
