brake warning light OFF !

hey guys,

tonight my left brakinglight went down, i saw it accidentally when i parked my car in front of a shop window;

why didn't that warning light come on ?
is something wrong, or does it simply not work with the braking part ?

My brake light was on for a couple of weeks few weeks ago. I noticed I was low on clutch fluid and brake fluid. I poured some brake fluid to the "max" lines and then it went off.

There is a sensor that may be bad, although I have seen on this forum where some cars did not have this part even though they had the cutout in the dash.

It is definitely supposed to work with the brake lights.
