What can I do about cracking paint?

Dark Green 1997 Camry LE.

Is my only option to get the car repainted? Should I just leave it alone?

If repainting is the only option, is the best idea to shop around local body shops to see who will do it the cheapest?

The right side, trunk lid, hood, and roof of the car have cracked paint which is now slightly rough, scuffed up, and completely dull.

Furthermore, what could have caused this? What could contribute to it?

My best guess is sunfade: the car is parked at the same spot of the driveway, outside, in Massachusetts, getting sun every morning. But the sun didn't affect any of our prior cars.

I would just have the car repainted. Right now my paint on my '93 Cam is jacked up, but I'm waiting until I've finish everything that i want to do w/ the car then I'll repaint.
