Hey fellas I need all the I can get. Heres My situation, I have an 88 camry alltrac 5speed with a 3rd Gen jdm motor and trans. Motor and trans goes in no prob even celica axles shafts are used. I have the engine harness of the 3sgte jdm and the dash board harness to but no dash board.
At this point the 3sgte harness is all i have to work with and its already on the motor. The ecu pin out --p16 p26 are off the engine the p22 is off the celica dash harness .
So my problem is tring to get my celica dash harness to fuse in with the camry dash or some kinda weird plan.
Also since its a jdm motor the harness comes around the booster side of my engine bay. Most of the guys in celica.net extend the wire some just buy a us harness, and others just drill a hole in the fire wall.
Im going to try and get up as many pic as i can . thanks
bj
from what i can gather ur doing a 3sgte swap in a gen2 alltrac camry...
your problem is the harness it to short as it is a JDM harness which is right hand drive hence the wires come thru the leftside. Now u wish to plug it in to the ecu which is under the stereo right? all i can suggest is for you to extend the wires as there must be a reason why they didnt route the wires over by the brake booster.
have you got a wiring diagram of both harnesses? if you then jsut try to match up each and test to see if your getting the right results. i think i've got the wiring diagram somewhere here but i know 88LE has it. the 3sgte on u might need to ask the guys on celica.net
Thanks fellas im gonna get the diagrams at the dealer tomorrow and post it up . also anther thing thas messing me up is that the celica had two fuse boxes under the hood. Man this isn't going to fun hope its worth it. Any ways how heavy are our camrys or alltrac camrys. thanks guys have the diagrams up asap.
