2VZFE Auto to Manual - HELP!!!

Hey,

Ive been reading post and i need a difinitive answer.

I have a 88 VZV21 V6 Camry.
It is an AUTO
I want to drop a 5 speed in it.

I live in Australia, so we dont have manual V6's here, so I need a tranny that we would have here.

Im thinking Celica?? 3SFE Camry 5speed wont work i dont think.

And once thats established, what else would need to be done for a conversion.

Where would i get the pedals etc.. wiring...ecu....that sort of thing.

Help would be appreciated.

What a shame, I feel for you. I like stick myself. The good news is since they came available elsewhere with a stick I'm sure where there is a will there is a way... You might have to get some of the parts from some of us in the States.

Just wondering what 5 speeds mounts up to a 2VZFE engine?(88 V6 Camry). I think E51 is standard, but we don't get them over here in Australia.

possibly the e153 from the 3vz or 1mz, but im not sure.. i dont know too much about gen 2's
