Question Power Point Question...

Hey guys and gals,

I'd like to know if there is a way to have either one of the 'cigarette lighter' sockets,i.e.power points, wired up to have at least one of them have constant 12V. This would be a convenient thing when you consider that how nice it would be to be able to plug your cell phone in and have it charge while you are inside at work or whatever.
I was able to solder a lead to the top of the fog light fuse to the fuse on one of the power points, and was able to get it to have constant power, but there was more than one wrinkle in doing this.
1) Radio now had constant power, which is also convenient, until you forget and leave it on when you leave the car.
2) You could still use the remote to lock/unlock the car, but not to arm the alarm with a quick double press of the Lock button.

Any ideas??
Sly

If your engine is not running and you are drawing power to charge your cell phone, then you will drain your car battery!
