Wreck : No more pimping out my Camry
Well the inevitable happened. I was driving to work Friday afternoon during a rainstorm caused by Hurricane Ivan coming north. My car hit a big puddle and hydroplaned (i was probably going about 65-70) and started spinning out of my control...ended up spinning 180 degrees on the highway, hitting a guardrail with my front left corner, sliding backwards for about 50 feet while parallel to this guardrail, and then hitting the guardrail again with my back left corner. Right now my back left taillight is cracked, but working, my front left corner light had to be removed because it snapped off, and I have huge dents in both corners. The body shop estimated about $1700 of repair work. And I dont have collision. So for now im gonna get a new taillight, new corner light, and live with the dents. Its not worth putting money into my car now, because by the time I pay for the repair, i'll be leaving my car in a garage for a year while I'm at college. Oh well!
