Well i went to Windsor yesterday to get my susp installed when i find out my 94 has sealed struts all the way around! So i gotta return the tokico's back to where i got em and now im wondering what are my options ?

I dont wanna have to get KYB's... doesnt Tokico make sealed struts for the Gen3's ? If so whats the part number because there are 4 different part # for the 95-96's but only the 2 for the 92-94's...

Is there any difference in the strut assemblies for the 92-94 and the 95-96 ?

thanks in advance.

Did they tell you that it is sealed all around? Did they actually crawl under and inspect it? It seems a little surprising, however not totally out of the question that you have sealed. But call me and I'll explain more and try to answer your other questions. My # at work is (416) 681-8662.

Actually 92-94 Camrys don't have sealed... only have serviceable. Only 95-96 have both sealed and serviceable.

Check out the application guide at http://www.tokicogasshocks.com

So Ratko's car being a 1994, cannot get sealed struts from Tokico for his car, unless the part #s are interchangable from 94 and 95-96, which I doubt.

Did you talk to anyone at Tokico to make sure that a 95-96 sealed strut will work in your 94? In theory I don't see why any strut from 92-96 or even 92-01 shouldn't be interchangable, but if that is the case then they wouldn't give different part #s for different years and specifically say that 92-94 excludes sealed struts.

Good luck with it though and hope it fits so you don't have to go through this whole mess again! Gimme a shout when they come in and if I am available I would be more than happy to help you do the install.

GOOD STUFF!

The sealed Tokico's for 95-96 fit fine on my 94 coupe... The ride is NICE! It was fine when i took it out of the shop, but i went over some train tracks and ever since, its making a funny sound from the front axle when i move the steering wheel to much. Im taking it to my local mechanic tommorow just to see if something didnt maybe slip or needs adjustment.

Im done for exterior for this year. When my RMM lip comes, ill just put it aside till the spring since my ride is a winter car too. Im just gonna slap the stock wheels on for the winter and in the spring, ill put the rims back on and the following winter, ill store the camry and get a winter beater.

Time for a meet

latez.
