Ok, my bumper is pretty scratched up, wondering if you guys had any ideas on how I can fix it up a bit... Does the paint I buy at a car shop (like car thats supposed to match your car) work good? I have no idea what to do. The bumper looks aweful as you can see in the attatched pics.

I'm going to be getting a shogun kit hopefully so it will replace the bumber, but until then...I cant stand seeing it look like this.

I would give it to a body shop to do man, thats some serious damage! The store paints should be close, but you wouldnt have the same gloss as the surrounding paint because you wouldnt have the same clearcoat if any in the spot you decide to paint.

My suggestion would be to get the shogun bumper painted :smile: or at least if you going to be painting the bumper, put a lip on it :grin:

good luck man, its hard seeing that since its the same color as my car.

latez.

NH = New Hampshire?

Try Duplicolor Import Car spray paint. It works pretty well, just go slow and be patient with it. Go to their website to find the correct color code.

Try to find a NAPA auto parts store because they're able to special order paints if it's not in stock, I haven't found any of the other major chains that do this.

Get some fine wet-sand sandpaper (400 grit+) and buff the edges to be smooth. The damage actually doesn't look too deep, but if you want you can get their spray primer and prime the scratched areas first and then spray it with the right color. Remember to mask off the rest of your car if you choose not to take off your bumper. Get their clearcoat on it afterwards to make it shiny like a factory finish again.

I did this to my front bumper and a front fender (minor damage), works great.
