Since I hadn't done much with my Gen3 lately, I figured I might as well install a radar/laser detector to it. Here is the end result.

what brand detector is that?, it looks good with the marbel border , did it come like that or did u do that?? does mounting it so far in the dash affect performance?

It is a BEL 615STi remote mount. The actual radar unit is under the front bumper, the receiver unit is what is under the radio as you see. That marble finish is just contact paper that I used to put over the homemade wooden mount that the receiver unit bracket fits through. I haven't had too many encouters yet, but so far, it works pretty nicely, so only time will tell whether its performance is good or not. It also can detect laser for both front and rear, as those units are mounted on the windshields.
