I was planning on doing this with the spray paint from autodynamic.com

Anyone do this before and have any tips or suggestions?

Thanks

Yea...
Where were you going to get your spray? I haven't heard of nightshade before, I was just going to purchase from autodynamic.com

Is there a cheaper alternative, such as something from a hobby shop?

Also the cops around here are pretty leniant, I've had my 15 percent tint for 2 years and blue lights without anyone bothering me

nightshade is just a different brand of the same stuff, run ya' about $5.00usd, from summitracing.com. Basically up open up to taillights and apply the spray, but dont go too dark. check after each coat so you get what you want. as for the cops, come down to NY and see how quick you get pulled over!
hope this helps

I did that to the turn signals on my Civic when I had it. It does work, looks pretty good, but is illegal. It reduces the amount of light coming thru your tails so other drivers can't see them as well. I wouldn't take the unnecessary and increased chance of someone rear-ending me. Especially if I got whip-lash and couldn't get any insurance money 'cause of it.
