Hey everyone, I was wondering if anyone knows anything about Motegi rims. I was looking at some time getting the MR7's 18'' x 7.5 for my Solara. Anyone know the quality of Motegi ?? I was going between those and Konig Tantrums. Are Konig and Motegi similar in quality ??

Thanks !

I have 17x7 MR7's in gunmetal. The rim isn't bad. I will eventually change to 18's...possibly RO_JA's (RJ DeVera Signature Series by Motegi). Motegi is manufactured by American Racing Wheels here in Southern California. The RO_JA series are popular down here. They are on par with Konig in my opinion.

Thanks for the reply flipside....I have been out in Southern cali for like the past month, I think it's a requirement out there that every ride has rims !!! Crazy ! I just wanted to be sure the Motegi's could handle potholes fairly well since I live in Chicago, and the streets are torn up. I love the look of those MR7's and I think I am sold on the 18'' just have to save up the cash, no more trips to Cali !

Hey Sdsmene, what type of tire did you put on those rims. IF I got the 18'' I was thinking Yokohama Paranda 225/40/18 or Kuhmo Supra 712 same ratio. Could you tell me where you got your MR7's ?? how much did you pay ?? I was looking at getting the silver ones.
